How to Take Control of Your Hormones with Seed Cycling

Sarah Avery

Today, we'll hear from Dr. Sarah Avery on how to take control of your hormones with seed cycling. In her presentation, she shares her own story, explains the heart beat behind her company (the Moon Cycle Seed Company), and shows us how to use her products through a cooking demo!

Moon Cycle Seed Company is based in nature, backed by science. Founded by Sarah Avery, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Professional Yoga Therapist. She specializes in women's health issues and sees the benefits of maintaining balanced hormones across the lifespan. Moon Cycle Seed Company was inspired by a need for women to understand the role that hormones play in their body. Dr. Avery says, "I am passionate about using food as medicine, so I consistently encourage others who struggle with women's health issues—like what I experienced with PMS, acne, painful periods, and a difficult transition from hormonal birth control—to consider natural methods. I'm the oldest of six sisters, so I am invested in providing women of all ages functional methods for health and wellness. Seed cycling alone has helped alleviate my symptoms a great deal. Throughout my own journey to live a balanced life, I have also discovered the benefits of syncing food and exercise to the rhythms of my cycle to optimize my overall wellbeing. This is something I share and encourage with my family, friends, and patients regularly. I am grateful to be a small piece of the women's health community that continues to thrive and grow." Moon Cycle Seed Company is here to guide you on the path to using incredible superfoods to enhance your well-being and enrich your life!

Food Intolerances, Allergies, Gluten and Dairy Free Living

Cassie Temple

Today, we'll learn from Cassie Temple on Food Intolerances, Allergies, and Gluten and Dairy Free Living.

Cassie was born in Minnesota, moved to North Dakota in middle school, and currently lives in Fargo, North Dakota with her husband and super perfect rescue pup, Kash. Her story with food issues started in 2015. After being sick for about a year, she finally went to a doctor to figure out what was wrong. She struggled to find a doctor that would help her manage her diet rather than go straight to medication. After leaving the major health care system and finding a couple private practice doctors, she was diagnosed with chronic inflammation, a dairy allergy, and multiple intolerances including gluten. Cassie grew up cooking and baking in her Grandma's kitchen and has the pleasure of continuing to do so. She grew up in a family full of hunters and farmers where comfort food was an absolute must. When her food issues began, she made it her personal mission to take traditional comfort food recipes and make them gluten and dairy free. BUT, that's not all. She wanted to make them taste great. She refuses to sacrifice flavor. Her food blog was originally a series of notebooks, written in her awful handwriting. After sending photos of recipes to friends and family who are also gluten free and dairy free, she finally decided to put the recipes in blog form to share with everyone.

Cassie loves helping and answering questions for those new to the gluten free and dairy free life, so feel free to reach out to her, anytime!
