Welcome to Day 3 of the Foundation of Women's Wellness Virtual Summit. I hope you are feeling recharged and motivated after another full day of incredible talks!

Today, we will be covering burnout, creating strength from within, clean baking and an introduction to Ayurveda and adaptogens, clear skin from within, the importance of movement, the fertility awareness method and body literacy, the connection between metabolic health and women's health, how to support your self-care during post-partum, how our relationship to ourselves is the most important relationship, and how to practice pleasure during a pandemic. As always, we will close with a beautiful intention setting.

Sarah Baker

Today, we'll be hearing from Sarah Baker on how to prevent, manage and recover from burnout.  Sarah is a holistic health specialist and maternal wellness educator on a mission to help you achieve total mind + body wellness by simplifying nutrition, meditation/spirituality, and holistic lifestyle practices, and combining these three pillars of health with her signature multi-sensory healing therapies. 

Her passion is to help people uncover the root cause of their symptoms, and teach them how they can heal themselves. Many of her clients and students come to her to learn how to heal from and manage ailments related to burnout, chronic stress/anxiety, overwhelm, and big life events like becoming a mama. She prides herself on combining a multitude of holistic health modalities that she has studied over the last decade to help her students create a deeply healing holistic wellness practice; from meditation, energy work, and mindset coaching; to nutrition, holistic lifestyle practices and multi-sensory rituals. Sarah creates fully comprehensive programs to guide folks on their own unique journeys.

Leanne Kurtzweil & Tami Conway

Today, Leanne Kurtzweil and Tami Conway teach us what it looks like to create strength from within. Get your work out gear on and get ready to break a sweat, because these ladies are leading us through a strength-building barre workout. 

Leanne Kurtzweil is a health and wellness professional with a passion for owning and operating a Boutique Fitness studio. She co-founded SALT Fitness and has been teaching classes, operating her studios and leading a team of fitness professionals since 2009.
 
Growing up Leanne was a soccer player and she continued this passion playing on the first Division 1 women's soccer team at the University of Illinois. After college she worked in finance for 10 years, but climbing the corporate ladder left her feeling unhealthy and unfulfilled. She left that career to pursue a dream of combining her passion for fitness with the skills she had learned during her 10 years working in banking. 
 

Tami Conway is the co-founder of SALT Fitness. She has taught fitness classes for the past 15 years and owned fitness studios for the past 12. Her business partner, Leanne and she founded SALT Fitness because they knew that to be your best self you needed more than one discipline to stay challenged. They found the benefit in taking Barre Classes, High Intensity Classes but didn't love going from studio to studio to do all of it so they created their own studios that had it all: Barre, Cycle, FIT, Strength and Cycle classes all under one roof. They also have a clean eating program they launch 3-4x a year to help with overall wellness and health.

Clean Baking and the Intro to Ayurveda and Adaptogens

 

Priya Mulvihill

Welcome to Day 3 of the Foundations to Women's Wellness Virtual Summit. Today, we'll hear from Priya Mulvihill on Clean Baking and Ayurveda and Adaptogens.

Priya is an entrepreneur, wife, and student of Ayurvedic Nutrition. She founded & created You Again™ to bring ancient Ayurvedic ingredients into the modern world. You Again™ is a functional baking brand inspired by ancient nutrition and Ayurvedic principles.

As an endurance athlete, she struggled finding the right balance between exertion and nutrition, which led to a decade long eating disorder accompanied by a number of health issues; hormone disruption & bone deterioration being the most concerning. She lost her menstrual cycle for nine years and developed early onset osteoporosis at the age of 28, the result of training too hard and malnutrition. She eventually ditched calorie counting, turning to the fad “diet trends”, not realizing she was causing more harm than good. She finally found Ayurvedic and functional medicine that teaches us we are all unique and one diet does not fit all. In her Indian heritage, she was always exposed to Ayurvedic practices, but it wasn’t until she forced her body far out of balance that she began her deep research and understanding of the ancient modality. While on the road to recovery, she started adding ancient Ayurvedic superfoods and adaptogens into her recipes and began to find more "food freedom" in baking good-for-you, restriction-free treats & cookies. After years of perfecting, You Again™ Baking Mixes were born.

Dr. Trevor Cates

In today's presentation we'll hear from Dr. Trevor Cates on the topic of "Clean Skin from Within." 

Dr. Trevor Cates is author of the USA Today and Amazon bestselling book Clean Skin From Within and founder of The Spa Dr. natural skin care line. She received her medical degree from the National University of Natural Medicine and was the first woman licensed as a naturopathic doctor in the state of California. Amelia Sargent

Today professional dancer Amelia Sargent will be leading us in an accessible, infectiously positive and sweaty dance workout.

Amelia is a lifelong performer, dancer and athlete. She represented the Bulls as a Chicago Luvabull for four amazing seasons and retired to launch her dance and entertainment business. She's continued to dance commercially for brands, television and film, coach a competitive high school dance team and help brides and couples with their wedding dances. Since the pandemic, Amelia has poured herself into teaching online classes and has been grateful to return to her role as dance coach. She's having the time of my life teaching at Free MVMT Shop and now, her own dance and fitness programs online at Dancepantss.com. She lives and breathes movement and it is her mission to spread love, positivity and strength while building community.

In today's presentation she presents the benefits of charting cycles as a teen and using the fertility awareness method even before becoming sexually active.

Welcome to Day 3 of the Foundations of Women's Wellness Virtual Summit. Today, Dr. Casey Means will teach us about the relationship between Metabolic Health and Women's Health. In today's presentation, we will hear from Ashleigh Renard on how relationship with self is the foundation of every relationship in our lives.
