Ever feel like you’re crushing your workouts one week… and ghosting your yoga mat the next? You’re not broken—it’s your hormones. And the solution isn’t to push harder—it’s to sync your life to your cycle.  Here is a simplified overview of your cycle's 4 phases and how you can align your life around them.

Here’s your cycle syncing 101

Four-color menstrual cycle chart with circular arrows: Phase 1 Menstrual, Phase 2 Follicular, Phase 3 Ovulatory, Phase 4 Luteal.

The 4 Phases of Your Cycle:

1. Menstrual (Days 1–5)

  • Hormones are at their lowest

  • Focus: Rest, reflect, journal

  • Eat: Warming foods like soups and stews

  • Move: Gentle yoga, walking

2. Follicular (Days 6–13)

  • Estrogen rises, energy climbs

  • Focus: Create, plan, socialize

  • Eat: Fresh veggies, lean protein

  • Move: Cardio, trying new workouts

3. Ovulatory (Days 14–16)

  • Estrogen peaks

  • Focus: High energy, public speaking, dating

  • Eat: Raw veggies, light meals

  • Move: HIIT, strength training

4. Luteal (Days 17–28)

  • Progesterone rises, body slows down

  • Focus: Complete tasks, inward focus

  • Eat: Root veggies, complex carbs, good fats

  • Move: Low-impact strength, Pilates, rest when needed

In summary, When you align with your hormones instead of fighting them, everything feels easier—energy, productivity, and peace of mind.
