Better Hormone Function Means Regaining the Foundation of Health

Think back to a time you went to your OB/GYN: maybe you kept getting severe cramps during your period, or maybe you’ve been extremely tired or moody. Whatever the reason, chances are they gave you a prescription and wished you the best. That prescription might have lessened your sluggishness or made you forget about your cramps. But how much time was spent talking about prevention or root cause?

Anytime you go to a doctor for a health issue, there’s usually a huge piece of the conversation that’s missing. Too often, symptoms are treated but the root cause remains a mystery (to you, at least).

The reality is that no prescription is going to “solve” your issues until you can tackle it at the root. And for female issues, the root traces all the way to the endocrine system.

The Endocrine System is the Foundation of Health

Your endocrine system is comprised of your hormones that tell your body how to function. This includes everything from your reproductive organs and monthly cycle to monitoring sugar in your bloodstream and even telling you when you’re hungry, among many other things.

It’s basically like the manager of your body’s ecosystem. Now, imagine the manager took a “sick day” and couldn’t give orders. Your body doesn’t know what to do, so it tries to operate like normal but ends up missing the mark.

These “sick days” occur when the endocrine system becomes disrupted. Something happens inside your body that interrupts the communication between your hormones and your body.

The problems this creates can manifest itself in different ways, depending on which hormones were affected. But over time, when communication continues to be interrupted, it also affects the other hormones in your body to the point where you have a whole heap of symptoms in other areas of your health.

This could include, but are not limited to:

  • Stubborn weight gain
  • PMS
  • Infertility
  • Poor sleep
  • Increased cravings
  • Headaches
  • Brain fog
  • Acne, dry skin, or other skin conditions
  • Joint pain
  • Muscle stiffness
  • Anxiety
  • Hair loss

Even though some symptoms may seem like they have nothing to do with each other, you will likely notice a significant improvement in all of them when you start at the foundation of your health.

Understanding Holistic Health

Health is holistic: take away one major system or function of your body, and your body can’t work the way it’s supposed to. That’s why it’s important to not just treat whatever ache, pain, or problem you’re having, but rather to approach your health from the bottom up.

Hormones are the foundation of your health. When they’re allowed to communicate and work the way nature intended, the rest of your body’s systems can do the same.

If you’re ready to go deeper into the foundation of your health and learn how to start building better health from the inside out, my Cycle Solution course is for you.
